Practice Manager

An exciting opportunity has opened for a driven and motivated Practice Manager to join our busy small animal practice located in Wagga Wagga.

You will be leading our four-Vet practice and the support team in providing compassionate, reassuring veterinary care (and that’s a guarantee!). We are looking for an experienced leader who is well organized and can inspire their team to be an advocate for all animals and give peace of mind to all clients and care givers.

The Role
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the practice
• Maintain stock levels and ordering
• Staff rosters, leave management, recruitment and organize work placement students
• Maintain a positive and motivated team culture
• Conduct regular meetings, performance reviews and implement training programs
• Drive our business forward by promoting marketing strategies
• Implement and manage overall operational, financial and budgetary responsibilities
• Deliver outstanding customer service and patient outcomes
• Meet with company reps to align with the latest products and services available

About You
• At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role - experience in the veterinary industry is an advantage
• Experience in Xero, Excel and ezyVet software would be advantageous, but not essential
• Have initiative and forward-thinking qualities, as well as effective time management skills
• Are client-focused and have a drive to succeed
• Ability to motivate and grow the team in all areas of veterinary medicine and customer service
• An overall understanding of human resources, accounting, and business management

• Permanent full-time or part-time hours, with some hours working remotely a possibility

• 4 weeks annual leave plus 1-week study leave

An exciting opportunity has become available at Kooringal Veterinary Hospitals for a Head Veterinary Nurse/Leader to join our team. We are looking for an experienced Vet Nurse to work closely with our veterinary team of four vets and our support staff to provide best practice patient care and exceptional customer service.

The Role
We are looking to expand our nursing team and require a capable Head Veterinary Nurse/Leader who can provide support within hospital and surgical roles as well as emergency and critical care.

About You
To grow and be successful in this role you will ideally bring the following:
    • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
    • Strong nursing skills and a willingness to support colleagues as necessary.
    • An efficient working style and the ability to multitask within a fast paced environment.

    • The ability to build and foster relationships with staff and clients alike - relationships matter.
    • The ability to mentor junior staff and trainees in the future.
